[QUOTE=Groombridge;15163025]- The suite. On a superficial level, it has elements one might consider luxurious--the gas fireplace, the Asprey toiletries (much too strong scented for my liking), the marble bathroom, the linens. But beyond that superificial level, it really just did not work well and betrayed real inexperience in design of comfortable, high-end accommodation. Some examples: The desk had no easy way to access a power outlet--so I had to crawl underneath it and disconnect either the lamp or the telephone in order to power my laptop.QUOTE]

Stayed one night at the Elysian last month in a Deluxe suite. I loved the decor - nice contemporary suite with nice finishings. Just a note about the desk - in my suite, the power outlets were on the desktop hidden in a discreet compartment that you had to pop open....seems like you may have missed this or had a different set up.

Loved the location right near Oak St. and the new Hermes store. We're going to head back there for sure for a longer stay next time.
