As a follow-up to this, I can report the JFK-LIM did have a delicious full dinner served shortly after takeoff, but no proper breakfast. It was merely 2 halves of sandwiches and some cake. One wrap, one on bread. This was served maybe an hour prior to landing.
Definitely a little disappointing.
Those going on to SCL get the full breakfast service prior to SCL arrival. (For JFK/LIM/SCL and LAX/LIM/SCL the sandwiches are like the midflight snack, even though it is just prior to LIM arrival). Well, maybe I take that back - I don't know what JFK is doing now that the flight is so late.
