In my Preferred Plus packet (sent to Starwood AMEX Optima cardmembers) I received yesterday, the fold-out brochure indicated that Free Award nights were "2500 to 20,000 Starpoints, based on hotel category." The last I knew, and according to the website today, the minimum is still 2000 for a weekend stay at a Cat. 1 hotel. Is this a typo, or is Starwood planning to bump up the award redemption levels?
