I'm a SC member, so I've never used a day pass. I am helping a non-traveler friend plan a long trip, and I was going to give her a day pass to use enroute. I have heard that some SC staff will take the day pass away from you, making it impossible to use at other SCs along your route. This is not right, is it? I am under the impression that a day pass is good for all travel that same day, no matter how many SCs you feel like visiting.

I want my friend to be armed with the correct information so that she can be prepared to stand up for herself. Her trip is a long, holiday transcon with multiple, tight connections in the snowy north; and if she misconnects I want her to be able to use the SC at any point along the way.
