Worst hotel experience: Hyatt Place Phoenix North. Ended up with 40 beg bug bites, some of which swelled up to the size of a half dollar. Stayed at over 25 hostels, each one a GREAT experience. Many more poor hotel experiences; strange correlation: higher price, more likely chance of poor stay. Go figure.
And the scary part is that that particular Hyatt Place is considered one of the BETTER hotels in North Phoenix...I recommend staying in one of the resorts like Tapateo or anywhere in Scottsdale if you can get a good price on it..in summer, you usually can. For a city with such a high level of tourism, the business and standard hotels really suck.
Hyatt, are usually expensive garbage. Seriously. The one in Denver was a 4 star yet it had 1 ply toilet paper and broken fixtures.
