Hello. This is my first posting to FlyerTalk. I've been lurking for awhile and gained a great deal of information, for which I thank all of you. I also want to thank DALLASNEWSMAN for the trip report on the W Honolulu. Sounds like you had a wonderful time. We have reservations in October for three nights at the W Honolulu and will be celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. I am Starwood Gold but have never stayed at a W Hotel, so we are looking forward to the experience; and we wanted to stay somewhere away from the crowds of Waikiki. Would you or anyone else suggest we advise the hotel that we are celebrating an anniversary? It would be wonderful to receive an upgrade, especially to a penthouse suite. How romantic! Look forward to any advice.
