First off, OUCH! Hope you are recovering quickly.

As far as the AIT goes, you should have no issues at all. As another poster said, many passengers with pacemakers or knee/hip replacements want to go through the AIT to avoid the patdown. Can't guarantee that you won't get patted down after the AIT, but so long as you take everything out of your pockets to avoid an anomaly, the patdown is highly unlikely.
