Well what a difference a weekend makes (or someone viewing these posts

). I checked back into the W City Center Chicago about 8 pm last night and was actually welcomed by the staff with a "we've been waiting for you". Check in went very smoothly and while once again, no one asked about helping with my bag (again I didn't need any help)-- when I asked about an upgrade, this time I was told I was given a suite. It was on the fifth floor overlooking the main enterance. It had 2 smallish, but stylish bathrooms--one with a beautiful walk in 'rainfall' shower. A little after I had checked in, I got a knock at the door and a nice note from management & a small box of Godiva candies were delivered. Once again, I didn't sample the restaurant, but the lobby was much quiter this time around and actually a bit brighter when I checked out at 6 am today.
