You might very well find that even if you do get travel insurance now, it might not cover your flight on the 24th. Travel insurances have vague clauses in them that state that if a cancellation/delay is very likely at the time you buy your travel insurance, it is not covered.

Best to call up individual insurance companies, ask them if your flight will be covered if you buy, and make sure you record it.
