My best SPG experience so far is the Westin Rotterdam which has the following Plat amenities: a fruit basket, huge bouquet of fresh flowers, some chocolate, a bottle of wine (and once a bottle of liqueur instead
) + free full buffet breakfast for Plats (Approx US$20 value).
Best experience on other hotel chain: Hilton Amsterdam offers a bottle of Champagne, a Hilton garment bag, chocolates and some times a little souvenir from Holland (wooden tulip, miniature bicycle etc.) for their HHonors Diamond VIPs. Usually they'll leave a small plate of cheese, pasta or gourmet chocolate and some bottles of sparkling water in the room during the stay as well. ... and of course they used to have complimentary use of the minibar. Beat that!
