I finally made Platinum status after 3 months of staying at this hotel. I was wondering what kind of ammenities I would get since the hotel has no complimentary breakfast, no club lounge, no bottle water and you pay an average of $300 a night. To my surprise, I went into the room to find 2 half strawberries w/ mold and 2 chocolates w/ a note saying w/ compliments. I couldn't believe this since I was just spoiled w/ Hyatt's great Diamond ammenity. I'm really disappointed in Starwood and how they treat their top tier clients. I had more upgrades being gold at this hotel than Platinum now. I think I'll be just staying somewhere else from now on. Does anyone know why Starwood has a lousy Platinum ammenity program considering their hotel rooms are more than Hyatt on the average?
