I'd like some suggestions from the Flyertalk community on where I should go to get a last minute ticket based on good experiences. Any suggestions are appreciated!
I went there twice (drop off + pick up) last month, so I'm happy to provide info:
-they break for lunch at 1230p (iirc) and Monday wait times are ~45 minutes, so you'll want to get there before 11a
-but, don't knock yourself out in the morning rush hour; leaving Baltimore at 10a is quite safe; also, your pick-up time is fixed so getting there early doesn't win any brownie points
-there is a CVS across the street to the north with roof top parking; while this isn't totally safe, it's good for an hour or two (maybe buy some stuff there if you care about karma)
-street parking on Wisconsin is tough, but I found a free spot on the side street near the CVS with little effort
-they'll give you a number and the security guard will estimate your wait time; he overestimated in my case; if I hadn't been there when my number was called, I might have been SOL
-the visa girl felt that all of my photos were too small, but she let me pass ("this time")
-the pick-up procedure is really fast
Switching topics, KE is the only way to get from DC (IAD) to XMN with only one stop. If you add CAN to the mix, then NH is also an option. To find good fares on KE, I suggest googling: "korean travel agent los angeles". You can refine this search by zip code (most are in the same area).
If you don't want to drive to IAD from Baltimore, then you should focus on double connection options such as AA/UA/CO. Feel free to pm me if you want advice about this.
