Good call. Wish I had remembered that it was offered back in January. Flew CMH - ATL - STT in first and placed my PSP in the seat back pocket, fell asleep, and landed. Forgot to grab it and didn't realize it until I was out of the terminal. Went back to the ticketing agent and they literally told me to get lost and that there was nothing that they could do. I chalked it up to a learning experience and looking back, I am so glad that it wasn't my IPad (not released yet.)
That was my thought as well (learning experience) when I lost a iPod Touch on a plane a year or 2 ago. But it was probably my fault, I had it in a messenger bag under the seat and it's likely it slipped out during takeoff or landing. As a result, though it takes longer to get a laptop out, I always use a zippered bag.
On a slightly unrelated note, I unknowingly left a Kindle (2nd gen) on a Southwest flight and they called me to left me know I left it. Pretty impressive that they found it in my arrival city giving all the point-to-point flying WN does.
