Does your medical provider issue an ID card that needs to be presented when you request services?

I could do that, too, if I wanted to pay 100% cash for my prescriptions. I'm willing to show my DL so they can match it against my medical ID card to avoid that. I only pay $5 for most of my prescriptions so I would be paying a higher price to go seek a pharmacy outside my medical plan, get zero reimbursement, and no guarantee they're not going to ask for ID when I arrive there anyway.
