Victorinox NXT and B&R are comparable in quality, but I do not know one way or the other if in practice Victorinox warranty will be as good. Another point, let us compare oranges with oranges, ie, either current prices with current ones, or discontinued with discontinued.

As mentioned in #354 above, discontinued B&R models remain available at significant discount. (Dealer links are given in that post as well.) Both being very good brands, you just can't make a bad choice here. However, If you don't like black, then it is between olive and red.
