I won't make it...I was grateful to have the opportunity to "try out" 1K this year as a direct result of the DEQM/S promo last year. Ended up flying ~60 EQS/60K EQM on UA this year, so overall a pretty good point of comparison (this included a couple of international legs (upgraded with SWUs) and 2 biz trips to HI (upgraded with UDU))...

I'm going a bit OT for the curious here...when compared side-by side with AA EXP (which I did requalify for), I still prefer AA...though I must admit UA's E+ is a huge advantage. I hope the new UA keeps E+ and would like to see AA implement something like this, though I'm not sure they could do it without making significant changes to AAdvantage elite benefits (I'm aware of AA's failed MRTC effort, but this was not equivalent to E+; it was an up-sell for the whole Y cabin, not a small subset of it--very different approach).
