In these situations I am businesslike but truthful. I'd call each place and ask to speak with the manager or someone who can negotiate package deals, get his name, tell him I am shopping for the best price but will order within one hour. Ask for a total out-the-door quote for a precise package: B&R 24, 26, 28, superlight in olive, incl any tax plus 2-day shipping. Call everybody. You may have to call twice because usually may not give you their best price until they see what you find elsewhere. Then order either from the lowest bidder or whoever you liked most.



I am glad you were able to take advantage of this. As for delivery in time, no need to leave it to guesswork. Call them immediately (before anything is shipped), have them look up your order, and ask about the expected delivery date. If uncomfortably close to Jan 1, ask what expedited shipping would cost.
