My favorite hotel in Montreal is the Intercontinental Hotel, which alas, is not a Starwood property.

Selecting among the Starwood hotels, I am trying to decide between the Sheraton Hotel & Towers or the Four Points Montreal Center Ville (on Rue Sherbrooke).

I'm interested in hearing opinions as to which of the two hotels you prefer and why?

How likely is one hotel over the other to upgrade Platinum members? If they upgrade to suites, are they worthwhile suites (as opposed to marginally better rooms)?
