I'm just curious. Do the other chains (HH, MR) have similar arrangements?
I know lurker has explained SPG's limited power before, and I can understand why they allow these hotels and other that don't participate in SPG AT ALL into the system, because I'm sure they still get income from the management/reservation fees. It's just that at some point (maybe we're at that point) it will start to upset loyal guests.
