I upgraded from WTP to CW last week using the "proactive upgrade" for £399 but only got WTP miles/TPs. Called the Exec Club and was told that proactive upgrades would not earn extra miles/TPs.

I have no experience with proactive upgrades on longhaul, but did upgrade a few short flights to CE and in these cases always got regular CE miles/TPs.

Is the policy for long-hauls really different or did I just get the wrong agent?
