I have no faith in the TSA-approved locks.

TSA could decide they needed a new laptop and open your luggage.

OR

TSA could open your luggage and not re-install the lock leaving the laptop unprotected.

And then it's BYE BYE laptop.

Personally, I would never put anything of value in my checked luggage, locked or unlocked.
