Update on Seat Power on Old NW Flights
I flew from DTW to NRT this week. I followed the recommendations of many who replied to this thread. As a reminder, I have a Lenovo X61. I located a 65w brick, and as a first experiment, I tried my normal power settings with the lower watt brick. That did did not work. So, I set the power settings as low as possible, and tried again, and that did not work either. I removed the battery, and that did work. So, I required a 65w brick, most conservative power settings, and no battery installed. The screen was so dim that I could barely read it. When I left Tokyo, I took a Singapore Air 777 on down to SIN, and everything worked fine. Delta would be much better if they would remove the standard two prong USA jacks and install the round jack with pins (whatever that is called). Then, I could user the same converter that I use on those old planes from UA.
