Maybe NZ booking pax are categorised as idiots - and the information available to us dumbed down for us.
I recall AirNZ saying on testing that showing available seating before paying was not something the testers wanted?
(Disclosure: on my last transtasman NZ booking I booked a flight at the wrong time - maybe I am proof that there are idiots trying to make bookings).
