Sounds similar to Cathay Pacific's "Invitation" level: This is given out to VIPs like top HK Government Officials, movie stars and a few CEOs -- plus Cathay Pacific's legacy lifetime members.

Invitation has the exact same perks as their top tier "Diamond".

CX also have an uber-top tier, Diamond Plus, which goes to the top 1% of Diamonds by revenue (reportedly spend > $150K / annum)
