B&R luggage is deservedly popular and, once a sale is announced, does not exactly linger at major dealers. Sometimes you get lucky with local dealers who may have 1-2 pieces that don't show up in Internet searches. Still, don't spend too much time and certainly don't drive store to store. I'd simply call the store and ask to speak to the manager (or manager of the luggage dept at a big departmental store). Explain exactly what you want (B&R, 24,26, 27, 28 in suitcases, etc) and ask if they have any discontinued or B-stock pieces at significant discount. Previous line had 26" and 28" sizes that were replaced by 27". You can also check local
If you can live without expandability (I actually prefer non-expandable), previous non-expandable models were called "superlight". In particular, 27" and 28", if expanded, would be at risk for becoming overweight. A google search for the older models might be "briggs riley baseline superlight 24 OR 26 OR 28", then click shopping.
A casual search shows that the following two stores have some 24, 26, and 28 in stock:
Fairen Del (Canada) 1-800-761-1140
That's Our Bag 1-877-OUR-BAGS
I don't have personal experience with either. You should check if the savings are attractive enough after shipping. Make sure you are looking at suitcases, not a duffel.
Good luck.
