I'm going down to Miami in mid-Dec. I've made reservations at the Hyatt Coral Gables (as a Diamond--I would expect to get good treatment). But I'm now comtemplating the Sheraton Bal Harbor. I was there years ago, and it seemed to be getting a bit run down. But reading some recent threads make it seem worthwhile again. (Also there appears to be lots & lots of availability) The questions I have are: #1- As a Platinum SPG, do they have a Club/Towers/Regency floor? #2- While I'm not so interested in an amenity per se, I would like to make sure I get an ocean view/ large room or suite. Anyone have any recent experiences with this property??? The rates posted range from $189-300+ (I was hoping to book the lower rates and get upgraded).
