Good lord. What a terrible thread. Sometimes LNFs and other things go sour and then you simple fix things afterwards. Most hotel front desk agents haven't even heard of LNF and sometimes they simply ask me 'how did you get this awesome rate?'. Anyway, it doesn't look like the OP did the obvious things such as contacting the Elite line or Marriott Concierge.
I use LNF all the time and 19/20 it works just fine. The 1/20 is easily compensated by all the savings ans usually sorted out quickly.
