I'm having so much trouble getting the bonus for one of my nights. The odd thing about the whole issue is Delta/Marriott are not seeing that one of my nights counted with the flight.

We flew into Raleigh and stayed at a FI. The hotel didn't post those miles right away to my account and my VOA got them posted for me after we were back home. That is the night we still don't have 5K for.

The next day we drove to Charlotte and stayed at a full service Marriott. The miles posted for my expenses for parking (I used MR points for room) and I also received 5K.

The 3rd night we stayed in Jacksonville, NC at a FI (paid). The next day we flew back out of Raleigh. I received the bonus miles for that room plus the 5K right away.

I just know the problem with the first night getting the bonus is because the Raleigh FI did not post the miles right away and MR intervened to get them posted. I've called Delta several times and talked to reps with the promotion department. Every time they have to go to the promotion and read the T&C's. Each time they are confused as to how this promotion would be applied to my trip. Finally I got my VOA involved again since Delta told me the miles actually are posted by Marriott. Delta is telling my VOA that night 2 "does not qualify because it is an incidental stay and
there is not a flight in conjunction with this stay." WHAT???? That night is not the one I'm having trouble with. I already have those miles and the bonus was attached to it. There is a flight in conjunction to it because I flew into Raleigh, stayed at 3 Marriott brand hotels, and flew out of Raleigh. In fact, I was supposed to fly into Charlotte on the first day but had to come up with a plan B when our plane was cancelled due to mechanical problems. We ended up flying into Raleigh and driving to Charlotte.

These T&C's are so confusing that I suspect the 5K will get posted in many different configurations to Delta accounts.
