The assistant to the manager emailed me back very quickly, scheduled a call, and apologized profusely. He flagged my record as a consistent late arrival that shouldn't be walked, and contacted SPG to ensure that I would be credited a stay and also gave me 10,000 SPG points.

I found the response to be extremely professional and am already booked to stay there 3 more times between now and early Jan. Thought it was worth mentioning as I had been on the fence about sticking with SPG next year and there are threads to that effect on this board.

Clearly, you are a much a cooler headed person than I am. I would have lost it! Glad they made an effort to compensate you to your satisfaction, though I'm not surprised. The Nines is a great property with a competent team in my experience.
