We just used up tons of our miles to book awards for the whole family (6 pple) to go to Europe for the summer, but now we'd like to go (just 2 of us) to Hong Kong in Feb.

I only have 50,000-ish MR points and 20,000-ish AAdvantage miles left. My husband has 70,000 AA miles and 50,000-ish BA miles left.

Is there any way to use these miles/points for various one way awards to get the roundtrip WAS-HKG?

I'm okay with paying for one ticket (and using miles for upgrade?) and using all miles for the other.

Can you FT experts work your magic and come up with a good solution for my dilemma?
