High points:

• NZ5 LAX-AKL in Business Premier: the all-round best flight I've had in many years, with a fantastic crew and great product
• Achieving NZ*G for the first time, in addition to maintaining my regular AC*G (we'll see if I manage to keep both - unlikely, methinks)
• Casa Camper in Berlin - a refreshing take on a city hotel
• A joyride over Key West in a 1942 WACO UPF-7 biplane
• Road trip from San Francisco to Vegas via Yosemite and Death Valley. Simply spectacular!

Low points:

• My first, and hopefully last, flight on AA. How to make the short ORD-LGA run as unpleasant as possible. A new low for US airline experiences
• NZ144 SYD-WLG in C: a nice flight, but sadly my last opportunity to fly NZ's shorthaul C product on the A320. It will be sadly missed, by me at least.
• LH's Sen Lounge in the international section MUC - is that really the best they could do in that shiny new hub airport of theirs?
• Food poisoning aboard AC LHR-YUL. Whether it was from AC food or something else I don't know; what I do know is that it was extremely unpleasant...
• AC's recent devaluation of E benefits. Flying anything other than Y seems to be increasingly rare for me these days

Looking forward to some more adventurous travel in 2011, starting with Chile, Argentina and Uruguay in February. Patagonia, here we come!
