You have made the same move I did last year. From DL DM, going to AA Exp is likely to be a gain for you! I left DL before they started the DM program but AA Exp service is to me much more valuable than what DL PM had become.
My reasons to switch were pretty much the same as yours but now that I am Exp, I only wish I had switched earlier!
