Really? Tell that to the Newark security people who sent me to the fast line when they saw my boarding pass. Like I said, I know they don't control it but they do have a say.

As for the E+ seating, even after the flight was in the air and I saw those seats were empty, I asked the "manager" on board and showed her my elite boarding pass. She said those cost extra as well.
