Even though you will still need to go to the DL counter (for the security questions), try to do OLCI, which sends you to a shorter line.

I have also been told by fellow passengers (but have never been able to verify) that if you do not do OLCI, you must arrive two hours early while if you do OLCI the requirement is one hour early. The way it was explained, it sounded like an absolute deadline/cutoff for check in, not just a suggestion.
