The plane will NOT push back without the door shut no matter who else is ready for it.
The gate is not metered in IND. They push back whenever they want. Planes are deiced near the gate. Sure, there could have been flow issues in ATL but typically the taxi happens first. For anyone to assume that I do not know what flow control is, is, bluntly, insulting. The deicing is not the cause of waiting....current conditions didn't indicate deicing. "We picked up some ice on the way in".
How ironic it is that I am usually the one that defends Delta and their business decisions and I get thrown into the group that .....es all of the time.
Don't judge. Anyone that was sitting in the forward part of the plane could see the incompetent flight attendants...and I would bet that 80% of you folks would have agreed.
