I booked an HI about a month ago, for a stay this past Sat night; about 10 days ago, I received a notice from IHG that my stay would not earn any PC credit whatsoever. I called the property to ask about canceling (it was a very cheap advance purchase rate), and after being told by the clerk "We're in 'franchise negotiations', and could return to (active status) any time now", she agreed to cancel my not-yet-charged reservation.
