Theoretically, in a perfect world, yes.

Realistically, no. Your return flight will be canceled if you don't show for the Paris-Moscow leg, and you'll have to shell out a lot of cash to get home.

Is it much more expensive for an open-jaw ticket (NYC-SVO-PAR, SVO-NYC)?

edit: er, your return *ticket* will be canceled. The plane will still take off whether or not you are on it
