Why don't you contact Marriott customer care directly by phone? Their number is 800-535-4028, and I believe they are open on weekdays from 8 am - midnight ET and 9 am - 10 pm ET on the weekends.

I ran into an issue with using an EEO at this property (my rate was the promotional rates out earlier this year that were publicly available and offer free breakfast and a $100 BB), and it got straightened out by customer care.

Although I have had issues with Marriott hotels on occasion, I have had these issues resolved to my satisfaction. Marriott does grant extra leeway for frequent travelers in waiving cancellation charges (which has saved me about $600 over the past few years).
