That January date is NOT official it's simply a date in a reservation system, which has already changed/been pushed back once.

Even Alan Joyce said don't take any notice of what dates are in that system.

Wait for an official announcement from Qantas regarding the A380 to LAX again, but don't expect it anytime soon
