Nothing compares to the real thing, of course. My favorite ever was at a down-home restaurant in the Noyo Harbor in Ft. Bragg, CA.

So is there a canned clam chowder (New England style, please!) that is not, as so many seem to be, really Potato Chowder with Flecks of Clammish Material Sort Of?
