Long time lurker here - love these forums!
Just been playing around with Manage My Booking and noticed that if I upgrade a previously booked Economy flight it says:
The rules for your upgraded booking may be different from the rules that applied to your original booking.
Changes: Time/date changes permitted at any time for the difference in fare. Changes subject to availability
Refunds: If you cancel a refund is permitted, subject to recalculation of the fare for any journey flown. There are no cancellation fees.
Does this mean I could upgrade my tickets to Club Europe, then cancel the whole thing and get a refund? Would it be a refund of everything I have paid, eg the economy fare plus the upgrade?
The reason I'm asking all this is that I am somewhat annoyed to see I could actually book my whole upcoming trip in Club Europe for far less than the Economy Fare plus upgrade fee!
