Tried several times over the past few days to enter my Air Canada Aeroplan number into my profile, as they are now partnered since Jan.1. Many attempts got me the same error message, ie. that I was entering my incorrect Canadian Airlines CPlus number. By now you would think that I would know the difference between the two numbers (I do, but their website didn't), and I got nowhere. One email from me to them brought the response that they had entered my Aeroplan number into my profile for me. On checking my profile last night--still no Aeroplan number showing. Another email from me to Starwood brougth the response that my Aeroplan number was now in their system, but just not showing in my profile. Reassuring??
