I agree revenue is revenue but the honeymooners are AA Plats equivalent to DL Gold so they would be higher than the OP on the totum pole (OP states they are FO)

The honeymooners spent thousands of dollars on the tickets to Hawaii, pretty sure they would beat the OP on fare paid

I am just suggesting to the OP that they are not alone and it is not only a DL problem. Obviously you didn't look at that thread because the facts would lead to the honeymooners getting helped ahead of the OP based on every criteria you just listed.

PLUS who do you think a GA is going to try and help more, a honeymoon couple or a mileage runner? I'm not saying its right but I think most people would be stretching the rules to try and get that honeymoon off to a good start over someone who was just flying around the country to ultimately return to where they currently were the same day. Like it or not, that is also taken into consideration. But as you can see from the information above, the honeymooners would/should have been handled first according to your criteria
I didn't read the AA story, I was only referring to the OP and the idea that he should not get a seat so that "honey mooners, grandma on death beds, etc" could. And while I feel bad for ANYONE especially the people headed to grama's death bed, the reason why GA's shouldn't get involved with the "Why" is you never know if the story is true. I worked with a guy once, who had at least 5 or 6 grama's to die, and of course would have to take off work....so I don't put it past anyone to make up an excuse to get a better place in the stand-by line.....since there's no way to tell, unfortunately it shouldn't be counted.

I think the OP's biggest problem, is his admitted lack of expertise. I did 2 MR's this weekend out of BNA as did several people that were in the SkyClub yesterday morning and this morning. Sure we all had IRROP's and when I got back to BNA last night at 10pm from MR#1 I was up another 2 hours getting MR#2 re-routed and re-ticketed, I went to bed after mid-night and was at BNA at 4:30am. So the point is it CAN be done, even with the bad weather.
