No, it doesn't, which is the grand stupidity of it all.
Those of us who have NEXUS cards know the process of how to get one:
*Lengthy application
*Background check
*Interview with Canadian officials
*Interview with American officials
*Fingerprinting
*Iris scans
All of that grants me the right to whiz right through the lines at the border with the tap of my NEXUS card at the kiosk because I have been declared a trusted traveler.
However, if I dare to take a 12 oz. can of Diet Coke through security at the airport...
