That's definitely very inventive booking the extra one way from LAS->LAX. Not sure how I could use that, but I'll definitely give it a try if I book an award. Is there a maximum amount of time I can stopover in any one place? And is there a guide to what exactly constitutes en-route, or is it all at the discretion of the BA rep I get when I call it in?

Also, I guess your answer is probably no that I couldn't book LAS->YYZ->ORD as the YYZ wouldn't be en-route.
