Is the statement in bold official LH policy now? Because during the ash cloud cancellations I was denied reimbursement for a train ticket I bought.

When I sent Lufthansa the train ticket, I received a letter indicating they won't reimburse the train ticket, instead they reimbursed the half-flown LH-ticket (probably because that was cheaper).
