No, but I've seen people drive 60 miles and return without refueling because the needle still touched the F or make it a point to refuel as far away as possible without showing the gas gauge to be low at return. People play all kinds of tricks to save a buck.
Then the next guy gets in it and sees the gauge drop nearly instantly to 7/8 after only driving 5 miles and then finds himself putting 5 gallons of gas in after only having driven 20 miles. Guess who reimburses the customer for that.
