not only is this possible, but it's great when you're trying to qualify for platinum and in cities where you can walk from one starwood hotel to another

for instance:

chicago has two westins and one sheraton within 12 blocks of one another and a w or two opening too in the same area

new orleans has two w's and a shearton within 7-8 blocks (bagged all 3 on a convention trip this summer)

does anyone have other nominations for cities where this is possible?

it's a bit of a pain, but i qualified for platinum with 26 stays this year, so for me it was worth it
