+1. I'm all for exercising important rights, but this just makes everybody's job difficult for screening large volume of passengers. It is NOT comparable to being stopped by police (which only happens, or should only happen rather, on suspicion).
Remaining silent would likely just get you detention until they can do every computer query and verification, and search to the legal limit, before allowing you to entry. Do it if you want, but I'm not sure what you are fighting here.
Much different issue than domestic, unfounded potentially dangerous and possibly illegal searches such as the nude-o-scopes.
