Well... from my friend that lives in Vienna, and one that lives in Germany, I was told driving is just as effective, albeit more expensive, and if Europeans didn't drive why would some own cars and the autobahns be legendary? I realize that your obvious preference is rail JoostvD... but this is not mine, and my original query did not request expert opinion on transport, as I am secure in the advice I have already received.
